I’ve heard it changed recently, and I wanted to know if it was 50lbs or 70lbs for international flights, specifically to Europe. This is the checked in baggage, not the carry on.

How can I find the cheapest international flights with flexible dates?

Airline Tickets 11 Comments »
Red asked:

Travelocity has a flexible dates option to find the cheapest fares between now and about a year from now, but it’s only for domestic US flights. Is there any way I can get the same type of information for a flight from Melbourne, Australia (MEL) to Salt Lake City, Utah (SLC)? We don’t care as much about WHEN my sister-in-law comes for a visit as how cheap we can get a ticket for her.
Every website I’ve tried, I have to enter specific dates. And Priceline is only for flights originating in the US. I want to find the cheapest price between now and June without having to search every day separately.

How do international flights make up for lost time in case of delay in departure?

Puzzled_08 asked:

I’ve seen that intl flights can easily start an hour and a half after scheduled departure time and still arrive on time. I read somewhere it has something to do with flying at different altitudes, but I am not clear.
