I’m arriving in Vegas 7am local time (cheapest southwest flight) and staying at the MGM. Their airport check-in doesn’t open till 9am. I don’t want to show up at the hotel at 8am wanting to check-in, and be a jerk.

I’m also going to do the $20 trick, so I’m sure that would have an effect on when and where I should check-in.

Is it worth waiting over an hour to check in at the airport? Or just head straight to the MGM?

My friends and I plan on eating for as cheap as we can all week; we do not need fancy dining to be happy. We also plan on purchasing alcohol to keep in the room, assuming it will be cheaper to drink that way before going out at night.

We plan on going out every night to bars (not chic night clubs, just bars). I doubt that we will catch a show, but maybe one at the most if something piques our interests.

So, how much do you think we will spend in Vegas?

I am trying to book a flight to vegas from oakland california using orbitz, priceline, cheaptickets, etc. and ALL the flights have atleast 1 stop, taking me clear out to New York, Utah, or Miami before hours of lay over and then BACK across the country to Vegas. This requires a full day (or more) of travel and the ticket price doesn’t seem cheap enough to go through all of that.

I had heard airlines were struggling, is this proof of this or am I just not finding the right deals…?

Anyone flying American Flight Number 1715 June 1, 2008 and staying at IP(Imperial Palace)? Hoping to find 4 people to do a shared Limo or 2 for a taxi to IP. Flight is due to arrive about 2:30 p.m. If you are flying from another city but arriving about the same time that could work also.

Taxi is cheaper and faster then a shuttle an who doesn’t like to ride in a limo?

It’s my sister ‘n law (54) and I (53). We’re just doing our yearly trip to LV. We did a shared limo last year with a couple going to Paris where we stayed that trip. It worked out well. It was fun when we ran into them a couple days later.
